Where I've Been
And on either side of where I've been,
Here's what I've been doing
It's been a very busy 10 days, and the 5 softball games each weekend are pretty rough. But there has also been some writing happening, so all is not lost!
Knew you weren't online and visiting blogs much. Annual camping trip? Kids do well in their games?
ReplyDeleteAlex: I'm not sure, yet, if it's annual.
ReplyDeleteMy daughter is doing great, but I don't know that I can say the same for her team.
Is that you getting attacked by a squid in the deep-sea suit? No wonder you've been so busy!
ReplyDeleteBriane: Um... yeah! yeah, That's me! And, obviously, I won the battle. Either that or the squid has taken over my identity.
ReplyDeleteGood to know your doing some cool stuff.
ReplyDeleteRusty: Well, I'm doing some stuff, anyway. A lot of it has involved feeling dehydrated all the time.
ReplyDeleteheh
Summer always ends up being just as busy as the school year, but hopefully you're having a good time with all of it. We've got baseball and t-ball here. Luckily and unluckily, they ended up on the same nights, so we split and each take a kid.
ReplyDeleteOh such wonderful pictures. Thank you for sharing some of your life with us via photos.
ReplyDeleteLooks busy, but filled with fun moments! Were those... stone balls in the second picture? O.o
ReplyDeleteYou're taking full advantage of summer! I've been staying cooped up in the house trying to finish this revision. I do try to make sure I get out to water my garden once a day and breathe some fresh air though. :)
ReplyDeleteLooks like a nice break from the online life! Enjoy!
ReplyDeleteI guess you really don't need any more distractions. I hope the games are going well. Have fun in the real world!
ReplyDeleteShannon: I think I'm mostly too busy to tell if it's a good time or not.
ReplyDeleteheh
Michael: Sure thing!
Rebekah: You know, I don't know what those were. They were just lying out there and I'm pretty sure they weren't there two years ago when we were there. Maybe they were wrecking balls? I just don't know.
L.G.: Oh, my garden! Trying to keep it watered has been the biggest challenge after getting it planted to begin with. There will be a post...
Loni: It was.
Although catching up after was a lot of work.
Jeanne: No, I really don't. :P
Like your camping pix. I loved camping when I was younger.
ReplyDeleteVery cool! 5 softball games a weekend is rough (we have the same situation with baseball at times). Out of curiosity, do the girls do tons of cheering/chanting the whole time in the games you watch? We went to see my husband's sisters play college softball a couple of months ago, and I was struck by how vocal the softball players were compared to baseball players. It made them seem like a really close-knit group.
ReplyDeleteGlad you got some nature time in as well.

Jo: I have never been a big camping fan, but I don't mind it when we do it in a cabin.
ReplyDeleteJessica: Yes, the girls are very chanty but the coaches encourage it. I'm not sure why. Sometimes, it's very annoying. Sometimes, it's cute. Sometimes, it's amusing.
So... the three orb things in the second picture... What are those?
ReplyDeleteTAS: I don't really know, which is part of why I took the picture. Wrecking balls? But I have no idea why wrecking balls would be lying around out in the wilderness.
ReplyDeleteDon't know as I'll have time for camping this year so thanks for sharing your great nature shots!
ReplyDeleteFive games a week? Wow, that is a lot!
Jean: Five games a weekend plus practices during the week.
