1000 Cranes (pictures I like)

Actually, I don't know how many there were -- it's not like I stood there and counted them all -- but the tree was decorated with origami cranes.

  1. I can't even imagine the time it took to make and decorate that tree.

    2. I think they were actually made by school kids.

  2. Wow... that looks like well over 10,000 cranes. My school made 1,000, and they only covered a window. It's very beautiful, though.

    1. Peach: It was a big tree, too, but, like I said, I didn't count them.

  4. When I moved out from the big house to a smaller one (divorce) I had to set up the tree and decorate it.
I didn't feel like getting out all the Christmas stuff so I found a perfect full small tree, sunk it it a big pot of water and put fairy lights on it. Daughter folded cranes the year before and I just used them instead of baubles. It came out so fabulous that it has become a tradition. My tree does not have that many cranes but the one your photo is beautiful.

    1. parsnip: Do you save the cranes or do you make new ones every year?
