Angels Unbound: Uri'el (an a-to-z post)
Uri'el
Yes, this is the same Uri'el who appears in Shadow Spinner (see Chapter 34: Uri'el) and who guards the entrance to the Garden with a flaming sword. Some say the sword is a manifestation of Uri'el, while some hold that the sword is a separate entity. One thing is certain, the sword can guard the entrance without the presence of Uri'el, and Uri'el can always keep watch over the entrance, no matter where he is, because of his thousand eyes.
He is known to be as pitiless as the most heartless of Demons, even Lucifer himself, even though he is an Angel of Repentance. He watches over "thunder and terror."
Perhaps because of his farseeing gaze and despite his pitiless nature, Uri'el was one of The Three who pleaded the case for humanity when God sent the flood to destroy the Nephilim. It was Uri'el who warned Noah and instructed him on the building of the ark.
It was also Uri'el who rescued John the Baptist from the Massacre of the Innocents. He returned the body of Adam (and his son Abel) to the Garden for burial after their deaths. Uri'el, in his aspect of Angel of Repentance, was the one who checked the door posts for the blood of a lamb in Egypt when Azrael (the Archangel of Death) came to take the first borns. Uri'el told him whom to spare.
He has killed many who have tried to enter the Garden, but it is whispered that he has also killed those who have not. The flaming sword was noticeably absent during the mysterious assassination of Sennacherib, king of Assyria.
Already released:

Angels Unbound: Raziel (an a-to-z post)
Raziel
Raziel was one of the first Angels to step out of the Void and went immediately to the work of writing down all the words of God. He's kind of like the court stenographer. He is the only Angel privy to everything God says and does, closer to God than any other but the Word. He is the Keeper of Secrets and the Angel of Mysteries. He is chief among all the Erelim, the Valiant.
From before time, Raziel wrote down all the words of God and all that happened. He wrote down the War of Heaven and the rebellion of Lucifer. He wrote down when time began and the start of Creation. He wrote of the disobedience of Man... and, then, gave them the book he wrote for them, The Book of Raziel. It was the start of... everything.
Not long after I envisioned the whole a-to-z of Angels and Demons thing, I thought it would be cool to get some other authors involved so that, stylistically, the stories wouldn't all be the same. Getting people on board for a project like this, though, turned out to be more difficult than I imagined. In general, other than a few stories that I knew I wanted to write (because they specifically pertain to larger plot arcs), I was going to leave it up to the individual author to pick the story/Angel s/he wanted to write about. Except for one: I knew early on that I wanted Briane Pagel to write the story of Raziel. Fortunately, he was on board to do that, and he has given me a story that I would never have thought of, which is why I wanted him to do it in the first place.

Angels Unbound: Lailah (an a-to-z post)
Who owns the night? Lailah does. She is the Angel of Night and Darkness and gave birth to the Mother of Darkness, Lilith. When the Angels were called forth from the Void, she was the only one who emerged as female, of all of the multitudes of Angels. Between that and her affinity for the Dark, it is no wonder that she was shunned by those who lived in the City of Light. Of all the Angels, she is the only one allowed complete freedom within the Garden, for she alone other than the Father may walk in the Garden of Souls, choose from amongst them, and plant them in their mothers' wombs. Not that they will ever remember her, for she has the ability to banish memories.
"Lailah" is FREE! today. I've left out some significant bits about her in this summary because of spoilers for the story. Like all the stuff with Michael and Lucifer. Pick up your copy right now!

Angels Unbound: Kerubiel (an a-to-z post)
Kerubiel
Kerubiel is "the Flames which Dance Around the Throne of God." He is the leader of the Cherubim, though he is not one himself, or, at least, he does not share their characteristics. Rather than the four faces of the cherubim, he has a body made of burning coals covered in 1000 eyes (see, what have I said about the eyes?). His head is a roaring flame which spews forth fire when he speaks. He is armed with the bow Shekinah, the physical manifestation of the female aspect of God.
Special bonus Angel, today (you can thank Alex):
Kasdaye
Tamiel, the name Kasdaye carried when he was called forth from the Void, was the "Perfection of God." Lucifer didn't like him, though Tamiel was always gracious to Lucifer, graciousness being an aspect of Father. Later, he formed a group known as The Hand, along with Gadreel and Asbeel among others, and took on the name Kasdaye, "the Hidden Power," in an effort to keep his involvement hidden. Once he was discovered and his perfection compromised, he lost the name Tamiel.

Angels Unbound: Furtur (an a-to-z post)
Furtur
Lucifer might be the Father of Lies, but Furtur is the true Demon of Lies. Having been taken in by Lucifer's original lies and unable to unbelieve them, he is now incapable of telling the truth. That is unless he is trapped in a magical circle of some type. If you can capture him, he reverts to the form he wore before he was warped and, then, he loses the ability to lie. Whereas once he brought love to man, now he brings only lust. He is a bringer of storms and tempests.

Angels Unbound: Eremiel (an a-to-z post)
Eremiel
After the rebellion of Lucifer, Eremiel was set as the Watcher Over the Abyss or, as the Angels called it, the Pit. He was respected. The Angel of Hope. He was the Angel of Hope because, after the creation of Man, he kept the Demons from the Pit from getting to the souls of the dead waiting for Judgement. He was the Thunder of God and matched Barachiel, the Lightning of God. He was all of those things. Then he met Kasdaye...
