I wasn't really planning to post anything today, but I had to share this. This is nominated for best animated short film, and, without having seen any of the other shorts that have been nominated, I hope this wins. You should all watch it and go off and have a great weekend.
I probably should watch that since everyone keeps talking about it.
ReplyDeleteI just did watch it!
ReplyDeleteVery cute. And kudos to them for doing it in black and white.
I did love this one. I think it was screened before Wreck-it-Ralph? The style is definitely wonderful. La Luna is still my favorite so far, but this one is great :)
ReplyDeleteI almost put up the same vid for my post today. I think that was before Wreck-it-Ralph when that was in theaters. I saw it somewhere in the theater at least. It's a beautiful short.
ReplyDeleteAwwwwww that's cute. Thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteThat really is kind of brilliant. The expressions on their faces and the little gestures were great.
ReplyDeleteVery cute :) thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeletePT: It's worth it.
ReplyDeleteAlex: Yeah, I loved that with red lipstick.
Callie: Is La Luna nominated? I don't remember seeing it on the list... unless I'm thinking of the wrong one.
Rusty: It is. I think my favorite, still, is the one of the old guy playing chess with himself, though.
JKIR,F!: I couldn't help myself!
L.G.: It is! And kind of Kafkaesque.
Rebecca: You're welcome.
Oh I have no idea what's been nominated. I was just thinking of my favorite shorts... well, ever. Dude playing chess with himself is definitely up there, but I think La Luna is my fave right now.
ReplyDeleteHave you seen that Pixar has a couple of collections of all of their short films? We have the first collection. I need to pick up the second at some point. Of course, Paperman is not Pixar.
ReplyDeleteI loved this when I saw it. It definitely deserves a win.
ReplyDeleteShannon at The Warrior Muse
Shannon: I agree, although I should try to watch the others before I say that definitively.
ReplyDeleteHow cute!
ReplyDeleteI know! Maybe, I'll link "Alma" next. That one's freaky, though.
