I have NO PATIENCE for lines. (I also don't like the way nobody knows how to bag things anymore. I should NOT have to tell the bagger to bag the raw meat separately from the deli meat. Lord, I sound old.)

I love this line: "sharks circling before killing a parking space"

I will think about that and laugh next time I'm in a circling line!

Callie Leuckhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09535505792102190920noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7658526372996117205.post-5048320040405929722012-12-04T10:30:22.243-08:002012-12-04T10:30:22.243-08:00Jeanne: Oh, man, I hate when people want to pay in...Jeanne: Oh, man, I hate when people want to pay in weird ways! It doesn't matter. I'll end up being in the slow one anyway. I try to tell myself that it is just cognitive bias - that I just forget all the times I'm in a fast line, and focus on the times it's slow - but it REALLY seems like I always end up in the slow line.

It only gets worse this time of year.Rusty Carlhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09887821877521181811noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7658526372996117205.post-69116073803351046862012-12-03T16:34:29.180-08:002012-12-03T16:34:29.180-08:00I share your line-picking pain. This one looks good because the woman is practically throwing her items through the checkout, but then she has no idea how to pay and spends ten minutes arguing with the cashier. And every second that passes by compounds my stupidity in having chosen that line, but I'm too proud to admit my error and find a new one.

Freaking lines, man.J E Fritzhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03372746219262163566noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7658526372996117205.post-77202868173104987452012-12-03T13:25:20.305-08:002012-12-03T13:25:20.305-08:00Alex: I can't get my wife to do that. I'm always scoping out the talent behind the cash register to see if they are the efficient checker, the gabby checker, or the type who likes to look like she's super busy, but really isn't doing anything checker. I always end up in the slow lane, and when I don't it is such a miracle it improves my whole day. :DLuanne G. The cashiers I always look out for (and avoid) are the chatty ones. I've seen people with 1 item take 10 minutes to check out because the cashier just HAS to know how their sister's neighbor's dry cleaner is doing now and if his son went to college or not.A Beer for the Showerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17029139745335325356noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7658526372996117205.post-58690477563548281082012-12-03T05:47:09.382-08:002012-12-03T05:47:09.382-08:00This time of year I really think I should do all m...This time of year I really think I should do all my grocery shopping at 2am.
