George Lucas just happens to be the most famous. Probably the one I would choose if I could pick, too. Although, I was just saying to my wife that it would be pretty cool to run into Seth Green.Andrew Leonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13964775673414653644noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7658526372996117205.post-7711094311846846582011-07-30T19:22:41.119-07:002011-07-30T19:22:41.119-07:00Wow. Good job.

I always chose to see the bright side of the filming of Helm's deep. I like that it had a narrative all its own. It never seemed like random violence, I actually understood what was happening throughout the battle, not many movies do battles so well.Rusty Carlhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09887821877521181811noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7658526372996117205.post-12066313527632852982011-07-30T00:43:31.593-07:002011-07-30T00:43:31.593-07:00Alyssia: Goblet of Fire was my least favorite Pott...Alyssia: Goblet of Fire was my least favorite Potter film. They just left too much out of it.

Gimli and Legolas are great, but that's not really part of Helm's Deep for me, since it's an ongoing thing.

The third film is this Tuesday. I'm not sure how many the theater seats. It was close to full for Fellowship but probably only 1/2-2/3 for Two Towers.

Bess: I thought Wenham did a fine job, but I will admit he's not my favorite side character. Looking at equivalents, so to speak, I much prefer Karl Urban's Eomer.

Jennifer: Actually, I probably only like Star Wars as much as you like Harry Potter. :) I do quite like Harry Potter, though, too.

Michael: The movies are brilliant. Over all. There's just a few things here and there. The Ranch is a pretty neat place.

Melanie: I know! The arrow thing just makes me... makes me want shake Jackson and ask him what was he thinking!

When I was in high school, I used to tell my friends I was going to name my first born Aragorn. That, um, didn't happen.Andrew Leonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13964775673414653644noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7658526372996117205.post-75066653421300514242011-07-28T18:49:27.700-07:002011-07-28T18:49:27.700-07:00so cool! what a great story. it's funny about ...so cool! what a great story. it's funny about all the flaws you pointed out in TTT because agree with most of them. The one that REALLY bothered me the most though and that makes me pissed every time is the not shooting the arrows right away. I mean, WTF???? They could have totally taken out like half of the orc army before the battle even really begun!!!! And funny enough, though it is a "cute" scene, I didn't really love the whole Ent story. It just felt so cheesy to me in comparison to the rest of the movie, but that's just me. I still love the movies in the order of 3 then 1 then 2. BTW, my husband and I named our twin daughters (now 5), Arwen and Lorien :D Fan much?Melaniehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03696084321447737813noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7658526372996117205.post-84420222174836732802011-07-28T10:30:41.723-07:002011-07-28T10:30:41.723-07:00Meh. I think you might love Lord of the Rings as much as I love Harry Potter:)Jenniferhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16232979489927013323noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7658526372996117205.post-55185232125814361282011-07-28T07:10:14.531-07:002011-07-28T07:10:14.531-07:00That's cool!
I agree with what you say about ...That's cool!

I agree with what you say about "Helm's Deep" although I still thoroughly enjoy that battle. It's pretty accurate to what happens in the book. Although I do know they had to change some things because originally Arwen was in the battle, which would have been retarted.

I won't watch "Two Towers" unless it's extended. I thought the Faramir scenes, wtihout the extended versions, made no sense and killed a great character. But David Wenham just wasn't my Faramir to begin with.

Sounds like you're having great times at Skywalker Ranch!Bess Weatherbyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09873091527596352004noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7658526372996117205.post-82211775865754403702011-07-28T03:51:38.478-07:002011-07-28T03:51:38.478-07:00I love it. Makes one imagine he really is just a normal person who puts on his pants one leg at a time, because otherwise he really is a magician who lives on this way cool ranch.

The imagery with Gandalf at Helm's Deep is also my favorite portion of that battle sequence. And I have to admit, I do love the banter between Gimli and Legolas. But TT is my least favorite of the three. Unless The Hubby and I are going for an all day extended LOTR marathon, we never just pick that one to watch. It's either the first or the last (I always pick the former; he picks the latter). Kind of the same thing with Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix. I really do love the movie, but it's my least favorite. Why? I haven't the slightest. Just is.

So, when do you get to view the final film? How many people usually show up for the viewing?Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16514163880053470414noreply@blogger.com
